Starting from June 1st 2025, if your doctor spends time reviewing and acting on your health-related correspondence, you may be notified and sent an invoice for that time. If the information is complex, your doctor may suggest booking an appointment so they can discuss it with you thoroughly.
Reviewing and responding to this information is essential to ensuring you receive safe and continuous care. However, managing this outside of appointments has become very time-consuming and now takes up more than a third of your doctor’s time in the practice.
We understand that any additional cost can be difficult, especially at a time when many people are finding it harder to access primary health care. Please know that this decision was not made lightly. Our goal is to continue providing safe, attentive, and comprehensive care to all our patients.
