We wish to advise you that from the 29th March 2024, there will be a change in Afterhours General Practice Urgent Care and Advice between 5pm and 8am weekdays, all day and night weekends and public holidays.
You can still ring Waihopai Health Services on 032110999 and your call will be answered by Health-Line/Whakarongorau. Their trained staff will assess your need and provide advice.
If Health-Line/Whakarongorau believe you need an appointment to be assessed by a doctor they will either make that appointment with Practice Plus or refer you to the Practice Plus webpage where you can make an appointment directly.
This is a virtual service provided by GPs. This service can resolve most urgent after-hours general practice questions or concerns. However in the event that they believe you need be seen for a face-to-face consultation you may be referred to the Invercargill Emergency Department or back to us if they believe your problem can wait till the next working day.
